Product Description

Fire case coloring receiver, Logo craved wood stock, deep blue.
Someone took care of this shotgun to make it all these years in very fine condition.
The H&R 1871 Topper Model 158 is a single-shot, break-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. It features a steel receiver paired with a wood stock, reflecting the straightforward design typical of the Topper series. The shotgun is configured for a single round capacity and is compatible with 3-inch 12-gauge shells. Its simple break-open action and solid steel construction make it representative of H&R’s long-standing utilitarian approach to firearm manufacture.
This Topper 158 is used and shows handling and finish wear consistent with age and use, including scattered marks, dings, and finish loss on metal and wood surfaces. The wear is cosmetic and reflects normal use over time. The wooden stock retains its original profile, and the break-action mechanism maintains the traditional single-shot configuration that characterized the model’s production run.
The shotgun includes its fixed wood stock and steel receiver assembly as originally configured. No additional accessories, tools, or packaging are included. The Topper 158 design reflects H&R’s mid-20th-century production standards, emphasizing a simple, durable mechanism suitable for a wide range of users. Its straightforward construction and single-shot operation made it one of the company’s most recognizable firearms during its production era.
